This year, Purim begins at sundown on Saturday, March 23, and ends the evening of Sunday, March 24th.

Members & the wider community are invited to join us at our friendly neighborhood synagogue located at 103 West End Ave as we celebrate Purim on the Upper West Side!

Here are suggestions on how you can celebrate Purim at home. Scroll down to see all of our Purim events here at Habonim!

For conversation at your Shabbat table and other places leading up to Purim:
- What is your favorite part of Purim & why?
- Megillah reading; hamantashen/oznei-haman; dressing up in costume; stomping out Haman's name
- On Purim we wear masks/costumes. What are you masking this year? What will it take for you to feel free by Passover?
- What action might you take this year to stand up proudly as a Jewish person?
- How do we find God's presence when we do not mention God's name (as happens in the Purim story)?

Take advantage of these resources to learn more about Purim, the holiday that does not mention the name of the Holy One - God.
