Three amazing volunteer opportunities! Earn community service credit with your friends from Habonim and do something MEANINGFUL with your afternoons!

Helper; specifically, a Jewish person in grades 8-12 dedicated to volunteering in the Habonim community

Tichon tē'chōn adj. Hebrew
Middle, intermediate; used to describe grades 8-12, as in the phrase Bet Sefer Tichon (high school)

  1. Ozrim
Volunteer at Habonim’s Aenne Hahn Religious School on any or all of the following days:
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00pm.
  2. Ozrim Tefillah
Volunteer at our weekly Shabbat Children’s Services (Torah for Tots or Mini-Minyan), our twice-a-month Junior Congregation, or our annual Children’s Services during the High Holidays.
  3. Tichon Community Service (TCS)
Volunteer with other teens from Habonim at the Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center (LSNC) Daycare Program. ALL VOLUNTEERS are invited to a monthly meeting! Hang out with other teen volunteers from Habonim and discuss your experiences! You’ll also learn something new by exploring Jewish texts and ideas, developing your own Jewish identity through activities and thoughtful conversations, discuss ways to become a more effective educator.
