WORKING WITH YOUR FAMILY

At the Nursery School at Habonim, you won’t feel like you’re giving up your child, you’ll feel like you’re gaining a family.

School Psychologist

We have a School Psychologist on-site two mornings a week. She is available to the families and the teachers throughout the year to discuss the emotional development of the children and to consult around parenting issues.

Outside Consultants

We retain specialists in early childhood occupational therapy and speech and language pathology. The occupational therapist and speech and language pathologist visit our classrooms each year once the children have adjusted to school. Together with the teachers, they get to know each child and determine if there are areas in which he or she might need some special attention. Both specialists are available to meet with parents to answer questions, make recommendations, and discuss any concerns that families might have.

Involvement by Clergy

Our Rabbis and Cantor are beloved and familiar faces to our children.    Our clergy are devoted to our Nursery School, and are a wonderful and invaluable resource to our professional staff. Whether it’s a hello in the hallway or leading services in the classroom during holiday observances, the children always are thrilled to see them. Their presence and influence helps in the formation of our children’s Jewish identity.
